Then he would be quite amazed at mine.

I wonder if on the 14's they implemented the deeper oil pan fix at the factory to remedy the puff of smoke at start up, but left the dipstick the same length. Run that by your buddy. Also ask him if I should completely disregard the dipstick and just stop at 7.5 quarts?

So my dipstick (just the metal insert) is 22 7/8" from the handle to the tip. I see it has a set screw and can probably be adjusted.

Could one of you other 2014 Hemi owners measure yours for comparison?

Well we know the minimum. Under 7 quarts and you will get a slight tick until warm and 7.5 is what I'm comfortable with but eight quarts seems too much. Regardless of what your dipstick says "jimmy", go with what we know is safe. 7-7.5
