The same marks the circuit board relays were making on the contacts. Figures.
I've had the ASD relay fail on the TIPMs after the recall and it warrants a TIPM replacement. No sanctioned kit for the ASD failure as of yet.
Good news is..TIPMs are going away. Bad news.....more computers.

My wife couldn't get the vehicle started last night or this morning. I sat in the phone with her as she attempted 8 straight times.
Called dealership and they said to have it towed. She tried one last time as I was calling for the tow and it started. She drive it over to the dealership and of course, they couldn't replicate the problem. She's in a rental until tomorrow and if they can't duplicate then we get it back and roll the dice until it stands her somewhere. Not happy about this. They want to charge my $100 deductible on my Max care MVP plan. That shouldn't happen. This is related to the recall fix.

Last night I put a fuel pressure tester in series with the fuel line and found that it doesn't build fuel pressure until the engine is cranking, but once the engine is running, it's right at 60 psi (spec is 58 +/- 2 psi). Then once the engine is shut off, the pressure bleeds off within a matter of a few minutes. I expected that either opening the door and/or pressing the Start button for the Run mode would engage the fuel pump, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Oh, I also had a test light on the output from the TIPM to the fuel pump and that light confirms that even when the starter is cranking the TIPM is sending voltage to the fuel pump (haven't confirmed it's getting to the pump though I suspect it is).
Does anyone know if it is normal for the fuel pump to not engage until the starter is running? Also, does anyone know if there is a check valve in the fuel pump assembly or elsewhere that should maintain fuel pressure? Of course I didn't test the fuel pressure until I had a concern, so I don't know what "normal" behavior is. I'm also trying to figure out a way to test each section of fuel line to determine if the pressure is bleeding off back to the fuel pump or to the fuel rail. There is no fuel odor normally so I'm pretty confident I don't have a fuel leak.

If you switch your ignition to RUN (without starting) you should always hear the fuel pump relay click on and the fuel pump whine before you ever attempt to start it.
The pressure also should not be bleeding off (or back into the tank) when you shut down. The fuel rail should hold pressure.

The relay will pull in for 3 seconds then release when the ignition is turned ON, then close again when cranking begins.
