Want to put a 2 inch lift on suv. Most of the lifts I have seen are those that have the Hemi engine. Wasn't sure if the suspension is the same or not. What I have seen is lift kits for Cherokees that people are adapting to the Durango. Finally if that is the case do they cary the same suspension system

Just purchased vehicle and Im wanting to put at least a two inch lift on vehicle. Have seen it on older durangos. The latest year was 2016. Needed to know if someone has any information on if the suspension is the same from 16 to 17. and what was used to lift the vehicle. The only thing Ive seen is spacers or level kits. Any input is much appreciated.

Sorry for not sending response sooner had logged off due to being at work

Hi there new to the scene. anybody on this morning need to pick a brain

OK so I just posted this on another guy's thread before I saw yours - but the information is the same.

Yes, you can install any lift built and marketed for the 2011+ Jeep Grand Cherokee. The suspension system is identical 2011+ Grand Cherokee and 2011+ Durango (with the exception of the Grand Cherokees that had the factory airbag suspension - we never had that). The most common option used is a spacer type kit, but as I've shown below you can get a complete all-spring lift - it's just big money.

Here is a complete kit by Rocky Road Outfitters, a decent company that has in the past gotten sketchy reviews for quality and design but the Jeep guys seem pretty happy with them lately...

If you have deep pockets and want to spend more money on what is probably a better quality and better designed lift by a well known, well-respected company, look here...

or here...

If all else fails and you want to go the quick and dirty route, you can grab some Jeep TJ rear coil spring spacers, about 1" (which will get you 2" in our vehicles) for the rear, and some of these for the front...

And there ya go, boom 2" lift for around $200 and a day of wrenching. As of now, there isn't much that will get you more than 2" of lift on these vehicles but trust me, that's plenty. That will allow you to run in the neighborhood of a 32" tire and get some nice travel and off-roadability. These suspensions were simply not designed to be modified much more than that and if you do, you're going to start wearing out parts quickly and causing unsafe suspension and steering geometry which could endanger you.

Good luck.

Either of those kits from Quadratec will bolt on to a Durango? Have you done either of these? I like the OME kit.
