Temperature Gauge

Question:-

Durango 2013,,,
Does the temp. gauge fluctuate from quarter to (less than) half ?
is it normal ?
Because in other vehicles, the temp. gauge stays still.

Need more information Engine Size, Location, Outdoor Temperatures, Accessories Running and Driving Style.
All these can affect the engine coolant temperature. My 2022 R/T can go from 185 to 210 depending in my driving style and accessories running. It will always settle down to 185 to 190 deepening on outside temps and if I'm moving or parked.

FYI I do have a lower t-stat in the vehicle which is suppose to be at 180 stock thermostat is 203 degrees
