Hello,

I'm considering the purchase of a SC tuner for my 04 QC 5.7L; we have a pop-up slide in camper in the truck all year round and am interested in the tow program for better low end and shifting.

I'm confident that it will better our experience, but I need to convince the wife that it will actually pay for itself in increased MPG.

Can anyone comment further on the MPG impact? Maybe something specific to the tow program? If we can realistically squeeze out +2 or +3 MPG I think I can sell it.

Since owning the truck my MPG hasn't changed more than 1 or 2 points regardless of how I drive. When I put the camper on I lost about 2 to 3 points from weight and wind resistance. We're hoping to get that back and increase the power/torque and shifting.

Thanks,
BZ

sorry to say it, but I don't think it will happen...

SilverBullet,

When you contact Superchips customer service, ask specifically for Ron Rapp. Great guy and he'll get you all set up. :)

Tom, I ordered a 3815 from an authorized dealer last Wed. Then after I ordered they informed that they didn't really have it in stock. Anyway, on Friday, they told me that they were waiting on a shipment from ya'll. That there was a shortage on some chip that was needed and that my unit would ship on March 17th. So, would this mean that I am receiving one of the newer models? Thanks.

If you ordered a 3815, you'll get a 3815. Our factory is currently building 3815 this week and loading the 3865 for future orders. Your order is probably in the mix of 3815s running down the line this week.

Thanks Tom, for the reply.

I know this is in the 3rd gen forum... but any chance for a 93 octane tune for the 2nd gen trucks in the future?

So if I bought a ford flashpaq, could it be re-flashed to a dodge 3815 for 100 bucks?
