If you read the manual that came with your flashpaq, it has specific directions on how to measure your tire size (mine did anyway). All you have to do is lay a straight edge across the top of the tire and measure from there to the ground. Thats how i did mine and even though I'm running 285/70/17's, with the wear on them and the little bit of squat I get, the measurement is only about 31.5.

SilverBullet08 is correct, that was a Ford vehicle being tuned which is the reason why there are different options shown.

your gear size should have nothing to do with your tire size. if you have the 20" rims you have 33" tires (unless they are worn a lot). you should not need to compensate for gears by changing tire size.

Also, I was wondering, what is the latest update for the 3815? I thought I saw someone on here last week say they updated to ver. 1.32/DB 240, but when I went to update my tuner Saturday, it showed ver. 1.31/DB 236 as the latest update.

Also what affect does running 93 octanes on a 91 oct tune have? Not to many gas stations sell 91 octane in Long island , mostly 93.
Running a higher octane number should not adversely affect anything. Octane is the fuel's resistance to detonation. That said, if you are running 91 and don't need it, your are spending too much money. I'm kind of ****, if I hear my engine ping at all, I step up to the next octane level.

I gotta say my hat is off to Superchips. I don't spend a lot of time here at the Dodgeforum, but WOW. I really appreciate seeing the support. I wish I'd caught this sooner. I am glad to see Superchips has rolled out support for the 07s. However, I figure I'm in that elusive "haven't got your program" category, since I'm running a flex-fuel. I'd even be willing to beta test--I'm pretty **** about tracking everything I do to my truck.
[edit] I didn't know this thing would data log!

How about with the 87 tune. Does anyone run the 87 tune with 89 octane gas? or just stick to 87 octane with the 87 tune, or maybe it is personal preference for your truck.

On a side note, I just received my flashpaq 3865, should be installing it this weekend hopefully. Can't wait!!

i run the 87 tune with 89 gas. i used to run 87 when gas was high but switched back now. i felt a little increase in power and mpgs by switching.

I too run 89 octane with the 87 tune and I just got back from my trip down to NYC today and I got 500 miles to the tank. And when I filled up I still had 2 gallons left. I made a similar trip in August and November and only got 400 Miles per tank. I think the tuner works pretty well. I wonder what kind of stats I'll get with the mileage xs tune.... That's a 3+ mpgs difference.. WOOT Superchips FTW!
