aarrgghh well my ebay purchase fell through! At least the guy tested it before shipping. All of this used Cortex/3815 thing was bad karma!
I just ordered a brand spanking new 3865 from AutoAnything. Now I'm salivating, my guess is I wont get it even with the overnight shipping until after thanksgiving. Good things come to those who wait I guess.

It's here! I first programmed the computer in PERFORMANCE mode and the difference was unbelievable! I drove around for a while enjoying the difference.
I really bought it for gas mileage and towing so I then put it in XS MILEAGE mode, now to see what I get. While I was in there I changed the tire size from the stock 30.5 to 31.6 for the larger tire.

See www.mcfail.net/superchips and check out Rubberfrog's (George's) 07 shift schedule. His seems to be best at down shifting.

Trans tune shift points for superchips transmission tune
Does anyone have a spreadsheet or chart with shift points for the superchips transmission tune? Kind of lost as to where to start.

I saw a superchip for sale, 3815 that said it was for 04-05 Ram Hemi. Could this be updated for an 03?

im a little lost with all of this, i am knew to the whole programming and chiping of trucks but id like to add it to mine to get that edge.
so what all do i need exactly? i have a 07 RAM 1500 SXT 4.7lt (flex) 4dr shrtbd 4x4
i was looking at the 3865 and the 2950 and not sure what i would need, one or the other, and do i need an actual chip for the truck or just these programmers? and do they just plug into the same plug you would use to check a code on the truck? thanks!

A 3865 will be a good choice. I referenced your truck at superchips.com and they confirmed.
I was new to a 3865 a week ago and have since become relatively proficient with it. There isnt much to them, but you do get a lot of bang for your buck.
You dont need anything but the programmer.
I had bad luck trying to find a used one, now I am glad I did. Dont waste your time, you could end up wasting your money.

Yes, 2003 is applicable with the 3815 Flashpaq programmer.

Both will do the same thing for your 05, just make sure if you get a flashpaq that you get the 3865 and not the 3815 so you can get the advanced transmission tuning.
