Traction is def' something that is killing me with the 28" tires on the street. I think i am going to get some aggressive snow tires for the rear either the same size as now or staggered 30" in the rear.
Then see how they go at the track since they still get stickier when heated up. Of course DR's or slicks is the winner but still it would be nice to get low 13's on street tires.

I'm pretty sure snow tires would be a huge waste. I'm running MT Dr's on my mustangs and they are great in the rain and on the street and the wear is pretty legit provided you are not frying the tires everywhere you go. I would just run those besides they still are a street tire.

28" tires and I thought I was running short tires. DR's is the way to go. If you mount 30" tires causing the rear to lift, it will hurt your traction even more. Rear down front up will tranfer the best. You already know all this so I'm just talking to myself.... The snow tires will disappoint you. Good luck...

Do any of you guys know how much effect weather will play on our runs? The last time I did a timed 0-60 it was probably about 50° out and low humidity and the next time I do a run it will be in the 90's with high humidity. I know this change will slow it down a little but does anyone know by how much?

Yeah, I don't really know how much of an effect there is either. I was thinking that maybe someone knew of an online calculator or something that worked on factoring conditions into the 0-60 times.

Maybe we can start paying closer attention to our inlet air temperature. To see what effects it is having on our runs. Side note, I have an appointment to reflash my PCM tomorrow and reset the ABS warning. I guess I'll try th Diablo afterwards to see if is still a problem. Talked to the local performance engine builder today about cylinder heads. He told me the set up would be heads, 6.1 springs and custom push rods to establish optimum rocker arm geometry determined by the specific cam used. I haven't heard anyone say anything about any valve geometry issues but has anyone really checked this with the various cam installs?

Teach I cant see your 0-60 dropping by anything more than a tenth between those temps/humidity. It has a little more effect in the 1/4, but you're talking a third of the time that a 1/4 mile takes.
Inlet air temp as well as Barometric Pressure are two things that will affect performance (that we can log/monitor)
