#31
I have a 2006 ram 4x4 quad cab 2.5 leveling kit by rough country plenty of wheel well space however rubs like crazy on A arm with 35 12.50 R 20s stock rims I ordered a 1.5 " spacer for the rims today I hope this fixes the issue it rubs constantly so something has to work otherwise goodbye 700 dollars for the front two tires they are mts. Hope this helps.

hey guys I hate to be a noob but i really need some reassurance before i go blow my money on non-refundable rims online. I have an 02 1500 4x4 and i just bought some 315 70 17 BF's (thats 34.4x12.4/17)
Now you say i should be able to pull these off if i have rims backspaced 5.5-4.5 right? but you also say the stock rims are backspaced 4.75, would that not mean 5.5 backspaced rims would be even closer to the inside? I'm pretty confused about this one and i'd be infinitely grateful if anyone can give me some guidance!
(i'm looking into some 4.53 backspaced rims with -12 backspacing if its worth anything)

Stock everything...fitment is limited to width on these trucks more than height with stock wheels. 34" x 11.5" is the absolute widest possible! Any wider and tire contacts upper a-arm balljoint.
stock wheels w/1/4" spacers will fit 35" x 12". They WILL NOT fit 35" x12.5" as that extra .5" makes the difference. Your tire will be about 1/4" away from the ballljoint with a 34" x 12" tire WITH 1/4" spacers. Fitment is up to you. Don't hate if they don't fit.
5.5"-4.5" backspaced wheels will allow 35"x12.5" tires silght rub at full lock.
aftermarket wheels as above PLUS 2"+ lift/level will fit 36's no problems(standard width of 12.5)
All the info you need to know is above.
You'll need spacers with stock wheels to clear. 1.25" spacers are the smallest you can go that have their own studs, and that wont force you to cut down your current studs. anything between 1/4" and 1", you'll have to get longer studs or cut down your studs because under 1.25" will hit the back of the wheels.
