Yes it matters as 4x4s have CV and half shafts for the 4x4 which us 2WD don't. So definitelymake sure you find a 2WD kit. Weed had good suggestions. I have a Fabtech and it's not the greatest. I wish I had just got with the CST or Rough Country lift

Crank your torsion bars to get a "free" (need to pay for an alignment) 2 inches of lift which should level the truck

Would I have to buy new shocks or would the stock shocks work?

Stock would work as long as you don't go off road. But new, longer shocks are advised and if you're going to do it you might as well do it right

Oh there are plenty of lift kits out there that will provide you with everything but they are going to cost you. I'm giving the safest, cheap route to go lol. But as for shocks

Ok I have an 03 ram 2500 hd 4x4 bought it with a 6" super lift or so I was told. Don't really like the ride on or off road and looking into getting a diff lift but want to keep my 37s or possibly go bigger then 37s. What's a good lift that will handle towing somewhat heavy trailers and mid to heavy off roading?
