Shocks

I know this is an old thread but didn't want to start a new one.
My right side front shock started leaking on my 1500mile trip with my race car in-tow. I thought it was a wheel out of balance because at it would shake/bounce at various speeds (the truck only has 53k miles).
I changed to Bilstein front shocks and WOW, what a difference. No more vibration/bounce and the truck feels much firmer and doesn't wander with the trailer attached (race car/trailer @4200lbs). With the trailer off it feels firmer and much better.
Now I just have to replace the rears.

Had Bilstiens for only 2 days now. Absolute love the handling improvement and level they provide. Makes it feel like I was driving a boat.
If a mod reads this, maybe you can change my vote from KYB to Bilstein? Clicked the wrong button... thx

Hey, i had same prob with leaking front right shock. I just ordered 2 front bilstein 5100 leveling shocks, thanks all you guys for the feedback on how you like yours. Which setting is the best to make it even with the rear. The 3rd adjustment?? Next year i will do the rears when i have some extra $

Hey all, I have an '05 1500 4x4 with a 3" lift/leveling kit consisting of torsion keys and stock relocation brackets.
I need new shocks and was going to just get longer ones and eliminate the brackets in the process.
Tips on a specific shock that will have the appropriate length and travel for this setup?
I looked at the ride height adjustable 5100 series Bilsteins, but they are built for coil overs and this is a torsion bar truck.
Gracias!
