United States Air Force. I am an E-6/TSgt. and I have a little over 10 years in and have deployed all over the world. I am a Cable Dawg...basically I install, troubleshoot and maintain copper cable, fiber optics, coax and waveguide cable. My duties take me low into manholes or as high as 400+ feet in the air on towers/antennas. I love my job however I have promoted myself out of actually going out in the field anymore. Now I am stuck behind the desk as the NCOIC (Non Commissioned Officer in Charge) and as a technician it is really hard to make that change. My wife is also in the USAF so the combined income is nice. We dont see any of it though since we hoard it all away. My truck is paid off thought so mods are easy to do, but other hobbies get in the way...guns, liquore and cigars.
Was a summer park ranger for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and got told that they would no longer be able to hire in any new rangers so now I am a technician at a Ford dealership. Why do I work there? job security
Agent for State Police....I process/investigate meth labs mostly, as well as other investigative duties. Pay and pension is great for now. I hope I have one left when I retire????
