the rear ends in dodges are actually pretty nice. the only problem is the ones with the stock LSD, which have the "c-clip" issue. but take care of that, and you have a solid rear end.

the rear end in my 2500 is American Axle, rock solid from the get go. GREAT rear end.

2004 2500 Hemi, 88.7K miles. no major problems to date.

if your truck came from the factory with an LSD (check your glove box, or request a build sheet to find out) it is just a matter of time before your diff will explode because of it. you can get yourself a detroit true trac or auburn lsd to replace the stock one, and not have to worry about it anymore.

130,000+ miles on my 04 hemi...not sure exact amount (too lazy to go out and check). Just routine maintenance and replaced EGR valve. Other than that, not a single hiccup. Make sure you run at least 89 octane gas. Theres been full synthetic mobil 1 in the engine since it came off the lot. When the truck was at about 125,000 miles, I drove straight through from Fargo, ND to Billings, Mt only stopping for gas and cruisin at 90-100mph the entire time. No problems whatsoever. This is a good engine as far as modern engines go.

'07 Hemi Quad Cab here. Just over 3 years old, 16 miles when I got it. Now has 60300 on the clock. Amsoil synthetic in the motor since new and just changed the plugs for the first time. Only "problems" was a bad ABS sensor on the front passenger side and a weepy master cylinder, both replaced under warranty.
