07 stock chrome 20's question
 

Well took dads truck today was out at lowes and parked beside pretty much the same exact truck, color and all but he had the aluminum basic 20's not with the chrome overlay. Started thinking ok you pay extra for the chrome wheels and all you get is stupid plastic on the wheels anyway has anyone took that overlay off? Does it look like the basic 20's or is it just a rough wheel? I like that basic look better than the cheezy chrome. I cant really find anything posted up about it and was just wondering. If you can find pics or thread that would be awesome.

I know some guys have pried it off and painted but Im sure some cleaning or blasting and prep is needed. I think I seen the threads and pics over on DT at one point

I 've only seen the chrome clad pulled off the 05 OEM wheels...this is what they look like.
If I was you I would not pull them off.
Check craigslist I'm sure you could find someone willing to trade.

Wow that is nasty lol I would never pull them off was more just wondering what it was like under there lol If anything would get aftermarket 17 or 18's before 20's again. Im a big tire guy not so much a big wheel guy lol
