Plastidip'd my truck
7 Attachment(s)
So I just spent a few hours and 1 can of platidip on my truck. Very happy with the way it turned out but I will be removing the paint on the gas cap cover. I will also be doing the bumper where there is chrome and the rims. Just a few picks of the progress and were I ended up. I will be cleaning the excess up tomorrow.

Looks great man. The lines are perfect. Awesome. I am surprised for the side moulding and the tail lights how little it was taped off, but damn it turned out great.
Nice |
Looks good, please post the pics when you get the bumpers and wheels done
|
I am on my way outside to do the clean up and hit the rest of the area's so I will get some more pics up in a little. I was a little surprised on the sides and the lights myself as I thought I left enough of a gap to pull the left over but I didn't. It will be an easy fix just takes off the tails and use a credit card for the sides.

Did you plasti-dip your tails? Cause I'm not so sure that's such a good idea..
|
looks nice. how durable is that stuff? will it peal off the chrome bumpers? why didn't you like the gas cap? Be sure and shwo us the wheels if you do them
|
Yes I did the tails and yes the light goes through, about the same amount as if I purchased those plastic covers. I did 5 coats on everything else and only 3 on the tails. I did leave the gas cap and plan to do the wheels down the road. I have to say I was skeptical at first but this stuff is pretty thick and sturdy but we shall see as time goes by.

I think it looks pretty good. Nice job man.

That's gonna peel right off of the chrome dude. You might get a couple of weeks. Not my thing, but to each their own!
