new 35's

Okay I'm within the next couple of weeks buying new rims, tires and a lift. I have the lift and rims all picked out, now the tires on the other hand I'm still up in the air. I have been looking at nitto both trail and mud grapplers, Cooper discovery stt's, and BFG Fierce attitiude's, but am still open to others. if anyone has opinions and or pictures of what they think i would very much so appreciate it!

unless you use your truck for straight mud and rarely drive on pavement then Id get the mud grapplers but if you drive your truck on pavement more then you do in the mud id stay away from them. Buddy had the mud grapplers and only got 15k outta them and they were slicks when he got new tires. I have the trail grapplers and have about 5k on them and im happy with them so far I hope they last

I ran the Fierce MT's got 37k out of them. Belt snapped on one. Went back with them again and have zero regrets. Highway whine but its a MT tire.

Yep, Toyos all the way!

But being in Maine with no lack of snow would I want the harder compound or would I want the softer compound?

Nate_sorenson Jan 31, 2013 09:02 PM

well the harder compound means longer treadlife, i dont think performance would be affected by how hard the tire is. the way i see it

toyos:

harder compound equals longer treadlife, plus the fact they are cheaper, well its not hard to see a better choice.
