New here and have an issue hope I posted in the right place any help will be greatly appreciated I am older and cant really do as much as I use to do . Tranny goes into gear (forward or reverse) only after starting and sitting for a few seconds after that all is well. no leaks ,fluid is pink , shifts ball gears fine and truck has only 57000- miles. I have not checked DTC but I do know the ones that might show up.

But before having these checked can any body tell me what cooler return filter to use as part # 04799662AB has been suspect to failure .

 

Need to know what codes, if any, you are actually getting.

That said, that behavior actually sounds fairly normal......

 

my truck a 2006 dodge 1500 with a 545rfe was doing the same thing. until yesterday.... now it's pulling up
P0841: Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Range/Performance
P0700: Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
P0944: Loss of Hydraulic pump prime

So far I have changed the passenger side rear of transmission pressure transducer with no avail. I will try to drop pan and change filters (make sure filter is pushed in there) and see if that helps. need RTV first. - tomorrow project now.
But to let everyone know two years ago i had exact same issue, changed the whole solenoid pack - under valve body. changed it and filters, new oil and it has been all good since then. until yesterday. the truck has a lot of km, but the oil then was pretty good cond. no filings and color were normal, smells fine. and now it is too. I just want to find a solution without spending mega dollars.
