... The only real problem i have with it is that there's no torque, plenty of horsepower. Any suggestions on improving torque or the jump off the line? Thanks

utfan.
I have been more than happy with my 3.93 factory setup. And I would not want it any other way! I have the auto trans and I feel it is PERFECT for the rpm range that the engine likes to run in. EVEN WITH the 3.93 it still wants to downshift going up long steep hills. I can only imagine any higher (Numericaly lower) rear axle ratio would be a really sluggish dog!(With auto trans) I have no porblems or complaints at all with my trucks power, even when pulling the trailer with 2,800 lbs on it. It easyly out pulls the 4.6L v-8 F-150 here at work.
By the way, is your UT Univ. of Tenn. or Texas?

Yep, mine came with the infamous 3.21 gears which suppousdely help you at hwy speeds. I think most people rule of thumb is bigger tires means swapping gears. I am hurting cause I have stock 20's with 3.21 on a V6. Coyote yours came with 3.92, you lucky dog. I know a swap that I priced here was abouts $700. The guy says I have to change the whole carrier, dont know if its true, but I rather get lockers too, but thats another $300.

Yeah I think mine has the 3.21's as well cuz I just pulled a 10ft. trailer full of of stuff and it struggled the whole time I was traveling, didn't go below 3k RPM's, burned half a tank in 115 miles[:@]....I was thinking that maybe swapping the stock rear end with one that came on a hemi based truck. I would think that it would be a bolt on kind of thing but i'm not for sure if that would be the case
