Superchips-
If you own up to a 2003 4.7L then Superchips 3715 is a nice programer.
Not available for 2004-UP

SCT-
Available up to 2002 4.7L- Its a custom tune and hands down the best possible tune.

PCM flashes -
Been down this road. Expensive, and from my personal 4.7L BG experience it was worse then the stock tune.

Tom Fox can tune a PCM much better then BG so if you MUST go that route then head over to Tom Fox. I have used both on my 4.7L.

Hands down SCT rules!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Looking at your build up of your truck in your sig, looks like you run the SCT. I take it your really happy with it then.

Ill have to check that out and read up on it a little bit more.

Default F&B Throttle Body???

Interested in an F&B 72mm TB for my 05 4.7 4x4. Read somewhere that the 4x4 rams did better with the smaller 68 or 70 mm throrrle bodies. Anyone have any input on the F&B throttle bodies and why they say the smaller ones work better for the heavier trucks?????? Also saw that Superchips finally offers a programmer for the 05 4.7. Anyone tried it yet, if so, how was it????

check out thefastman.com. he has nice TB options for us and can even custom port yours to your needs. the superchips 3815 is great. i love mine. both great mods. if you have an intake and exhaust it will be even better.

Which Superchips tuner do you have. I saw the flashpack and the cortex. One was more expensive than the other, but the cheaper showed better HP and torque gains. Don't want to spend the extra and not get the extra power.

Do you know which size they have? I want to know which one will yield the higher Hp and torque gains with the mods I already have. Currently have a Volant CAI, throttle body spacer, and full exhaust. Had the guy who did my exhaust cut the cats out of the Y pipe and weld in high flow cats I bought online. From there it goes into a dual in-dual out dynomax muffler and is 2 1/2 the rest of the way back.

Default Headers

Another thing too while I'm thinking of it. Has anyone tried headers?? If so what kind and how much did they help. Seems like my exhaust flows prettty well already.

i have the superchips 3815 flashpaq. i belive the cortex is the same thing but from what iev read you can unlock it and use it on other vehicles if you trade in the ram. dont tame my word on it because liek i said thats what ive read. i also have a volant cai and love it. I am going to do my headers in spring. jba ceramic coated shorty headers. trying to free up any resistance and flow as i can. when i do headers im doing a whole new exhaust system all the way back. ive also read and seen that our stock cats are pretty good and are high flowing from factory. the stock y-pipe is where alot of restriciton is. Also what do you mean about size? you talking throttle body? i believe he can do whatever you want. but i think he sells a real real nicecly done 68.5 -71 mm.... great price too. as for the SC just get the flashpaq youll be happy with it. look around in the classifieds you can find unlocked used tuners for around $250 sometimes.

i would take out that tb spacer too. it doesnt do anything on these engines at all. just a noise maker. works on some engines just not our 4.7 and 5.7 dodges...
