6x9's to 6.5's???

I want to switch out my front 6x9's with some 6.5's in my 07 QC.Can this be done??How do you fill up the space where the 6x9 was?Does anyone have any pics of their install process?

Also the new speakers would be components.Is this a problem??

Can be done. You can make your own adapter plate or buy one from Crutchfield. Keep in mind that if you have a factory Infinity system, you may be only getting bass frequencies sent to the door speakers. If so, components won't help you much unless you run aftermarket deck and amps.

I guess i should have said that.I have all after-market. Pretty much all Memphis.I have a 4 channel amp and an opportunity to buy a real nice set of 6.5 co-ax for the rear and some awesome 6.5 component for the fronts.
