I just don't understand....
I've been looking at getting a new K&N intake put on and noticed that K&N simply has a tube from the airfilterassembly to the carb. It seems to me it would have been cheaper for Dodge to manufacture the same thing instead of putting this big black thing on covering the whole motor proclaiming I have a 4.7L enginge! I haven't taken it apart yet but Im guessing it just isnt an empty space and is routing the air every which way but the easiest way. Is engineering getting in the way of common sense or is it just something that supposedly helps with emissions?

Go figure.......and I love that air-sucking, 4 BBLnoise!!! BA-WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

A "muffler of sorts". I see now, guess I never realized that air sucking could beso loud that the government had to control it lol. I was looking for that "throttle body" word earlier when I originally posted. Couldnt remember the term lol. Thanks for the input guys!
