Default 06/07 owners screwed by Dodge?

Well the 03-05 guys got a 7/70 warranty on their powertrain and the guys who buy know have the unlimited mileage, unlimited year warranty but the bulk of us 06/07 owners just have a 3/36 to cover the whole truck. I kind of feel screwed with this and it makes me real nervous, I have had my truck in on warranty tons of times and it is there right now so I may end up purchasing an extended warranty.

Do any of you guys feel screwed by dodge in the warranty department like I do?

Wow - I never knew you guys got the short end of the warranty. Even my 03 has another 25k miles of warranty remaining.

It dont matter. If you cant prove that you maintained your car, the warranty is just words on paper.

Actually you got screwed by DC, who no longer exists and is one reason for the new warranty.

Can we "fight" this? Well, do you think we have the upper hand if we were to ask Dodge for their "new" warranty? I'm not worried, we purchsed the extended warranty. But then again, maybe our warranty is Dodge's new base warranty...

Fighting that the next guy got a better warranty then you, is like fighting your bank cause if you waited 3 weeks longer to buy your truck, you could have gotten the loan at 1.5% lower then you did....

They offered it. You signed the papers and agreed to it. As long as they weren't giving out anything better AT THAT TIME, to other customers, for free.

Dodge/Chrysler has changed their standard warranty options more then almost any vehicle manufacturer around. With DC going down the crapper, they offer the minimum that any MFGer offers, and that's 3/36.

The 7/70 was Mopar's orginal claim to fame to get them back in the market, and Hyundai and VW are the only few (maybe one more) to better that with 10 year, 100K warranties. Even then, VW's had to be purchased, but it was available.

In "a" word, No.

Am I upset, not really if I wanted a lifetime warranty I will sell mine and buy a new one.

What I think they should do is offer the lifetime warranty to current owners that are covered by warranty for a fee. Just like buying an extended.

I'm not mad, I can't be. My past lease was up before July so I never really had a choice to wait. It would be whole other story though if I chose to randomly buy a truck in June though.
