Well the Amsoil Severe Gear oil claims that nofm is needed. however in my Pathfinder I did use severe gear as well as the Amsoil fm, and it is perfect. The Amsoil bottle of FM is only about $6 so it is totally worth it imho.

when i changed out my rear diff fluid on my ram with the LSD...i used Mobil 1 and the mopar friction additive, just to be safe. And i've had NO problems at all.

I did the same also. Mobil 1, with the Mopar additive.. No Problems...

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I'm changing out the gear oil this weekend before my elbow surgery on Monday.

Don't think it will be very easy to do once I have my surgery...
