Hey Everyone. On THursday I bought my new Ram, it's a 2005 1500 Q/C 4x4 Hemi. I love it. So... I guess I'll be hanging around here now and not the Dakota forums

And I have a question. When I put 'er in 4 Low it shifts really hard and the truck jumps when it shifts from 4 hi to 4 low... any ideas... on;y 50 000 kms

You should have the trans in neutral going 2-3mph when shifting between hi and lo ranges. A firm shift with a bit of noise is normal according to the manual.

What he said. Your pretty much need to stop for 4 low.

I traded my 91 Dakota 318, auto, 2wd for my Ram. I still kind of miss it, but the Ram is so much better.

my 2007 wont shift into low unless i am in nutral . I dont offroad my truck so I dont see me ever even using 4 low .sounds normal to me

Thanks for the Welcomes. I just tried it again and it shifted a lot better! I saw the DOdge Commercial with that Lifehouse song... it pumped me up haha. Here's a pic of my new beast!

Yeah today was -20 degrees celcius... it's chilly. And thanks it is a nice truck
