Default Horse Power at the Wheels!

Can anyone tell me what the horsepower is suppose to be on the 07 hemi ram at the wheels... I saw something on the edge website that was under 300 hp... I do not have access to a dyno... I am truely impressed with the power in my 4 month old dodge...
Thanks for your help
Terry

Using the standard 15-18% drive train loss you would be around 290.

Yea, I'm told Dodge's achillies heel is the torque converter used in the 5.7. A lot more power loss from engine to rear wheels than GM or Ford. Of course, I understand the Nissan and Toyota trucks loss a lot smaller percentage than any of the big three.
Even with the stuff I've done so far (exhaust, CAI, LT Headers, tuner, e-fan, etc.) I won't be above the stated engine HP of 345 at the rear wheels until I do the cam. Down at KRC Performance we calculated on paper I'm around 405 at the engine right now, but I'll need that extra 30 HP the cam I want will give me just to see 345-350 rear wheel.
For the truly power hungry, a torque converter has to be in the mix...

the MDS hemi dynos seem to be a little lower than the 03-05 hemi dynos. I've seen an 07 dyno sheet that showed the truck at 240 hp, with most being in the 250-260 range [/align]

Depends on what kind of dyno. Some can vary up to 20% from eachother.
