Wipers won't turn on!
 

Hey guys,
Weird problem here...this past weekend, my wipers won't turn on. BUT, they will if you 'coerce' them into it. Meaning, that if you actually grab the arm and help it along, they will start going and work normally. My truck is an '05, and I did a search and can't seem to find that anyone else might have had this problem.

Also, about 3 weeks ago, I changed the blades out to those newer Bosch ones that sort of 'hug' the window. They seem to work fine until this past weekend when it got BITTER cold here. Saturday and Sunday the lows were in the negative digits. It's almost like the between the new blades and cold, the wiper motor is just struggling. Has anyone else experienced this??

Mine sometimes dont turn on, so i will turn them all the way up. Then they work.

Sounds like you have some kind of binding with the linkage from the arms to the motor.

Mine act up like that sometimes. I've even taken it in for service, they changed the switch but I could never get it to act up at the service counter. I thought my truck was the only one with all the oddities too.

It's weird. Like I said, over the weekend, the temperature was between 3 above and 3 below and they wouldn't work without coercion. But yesterday and today the temps are hovering around 25 and they're working fine.

just had a similar problem, mine would work in I pushed the button to spray the windshield. but not if I turn the knob.

It was the switch. probably under warrantee. if not $160.00
