Yep, mine's a doin' it too...
I've developed the infamous groaning noise when I'm backing up.
Does it in the morning when the truck is cold, and only when backing out of my driveway, turning the wheel. I read that this could be fluid related or axle bearing. Could this also be the rear brakes? I hear a slight skeaking as well when backing up or driving forward. But it only happens in the morning! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

I don't have that trouble in the mornings, I back in at night. :)

Everyone likes ass, but no one likes a smart ass!
Just kidding, That would be an easy fix, but I fear that the rear brakes may be dragging, or something of that nature. Not sure where to start rippin' apart, so I figured I'd get some hints from others that may have found a fix.... Thanks |

I hear a lot of groaning in the morning myself. Oh, you meant your truck :). You mentioned turning the wheel. Is this a power steering issue? They'll groan when they're low on fluid. The cold may make it worse.

The sound is definitely coming from the rear of the truck
I did check the power steering fluid though. It is full.... |

Has the front end been lubed properly, some of these oil change places say that they do a lube job but they don't get it in the fittings they just squirt it on the fittings.

mine was the emergency brake. I had to get under there and adjust it. You know the e-brake is drum right. That should fix it up perect if its the problem.
