sony xplode 6x9's fit??

Ok guys, I'm talking about the 3 way or 4 ways ones you can buy from walmart. I had them in my last car and sound was awesome....punchy bass with no distortion and great highs.....BUT will they fit in our front doors?? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Tried to find the mounting depth maximum for an '04, but it wasn't list on crutchfield, but I would think they should fit no problem unless the magnet on them is just overly-big.

All depends on the magnet like stated above.I had some Rockford 6x9's in my old 02 Standard cab and the magnet was just a bit large.I used a custom made spacer to keep the magnet away from the glass while inside the door and also from keeping the speaker from bulging out from the door panel.

i've also got 6x9 rockfords in my 01 and also shimmed them out 1/4" to stay off the window glass. for shims i used 1/4 nuts as spacers. here's sort of a guide on measuring and shimming and making a mock up.

watch your magnet depth and your tweeter height. good luck.

Pioneer 6X9 5way mounting depth 3-7/16 and cut out Dim. 6 x 8-2/3, are doors max depth is 5-ΒΌ I think. I have the Sony explode 6x9 and I think they are so so but for a heads up on the install you will have to work with wires.
