window tint

so im going to take my truck in to get the front windows tinted and to have a 5% brow put on the front but i was wondering what stock tint ont he back is im hearing 15 and 20 from different people, i was looking at cjs4444
who has 15% on the front and they look like they match really well but then again its a picture and might be fof in person

pictures are hard to tell. my front looks tinted, which it is but its light. i think its 35% but im not sure. and i dont know what my rear is. from stock the rear is around 20% and ive heard most people are happy with that. when i get mine done im just gonna tell the dude match it to the back, i dont care what percent it is...just match it up

I put 35% on my front so I could see my mirrors better when towing my car trailer at night.
20% would be about a perfect match to the rear windows.

if your wanting to match the stock tempering, then you want 25%...15 is a really good look though, it almost matches the back window and 15 over the back two will be as dark as you want

Isn't the stock rears usually around 18%? I've heard that several times. Some shops have just said around 20% some have told me 18% and I think I've read that too. I say just have a shop put a meter on it to check it out and then put whats close to that on the front. I'm not sure that you will get a perfect match but you may be able to get it close. I think even the factory tint is too light. I had 5% put over my factory tint.

i was also told 15. i thought it was going to be light, but when it's on there it darkens up quite a bit. i got the sides and brow done and left the rear alone. i think it turned out good. one thing about driving at night though. you get a reflection of your dash lights in your driver window. super annoying when i first got my tint, but used to it now. i imagine with darker tint it would be more prominent.

so a 15 would be good? i drive mostly at night so im not tooo worried about it matching like that but i dont want it to be drastic if i went with 15 on the front and also anyone know how far down the brow can go in michigan

i'm pretty happy with mine. i currently don't have any pics of it, but i'll post one tomorrow if you want. personally, i think ifi did any more than 15 i would have hated it.if you drive mostly at night i think 15 would be your limit. oh yeah and looking at your side views to back upat night with tint is sometimes a nuisance.

yeah if you dont mind posting a pic that would be great i just dont really want it to come no where near matching and then have to pay to have it redone but if your happy with 15 i prolly will be do

RE: window tint

15 is going to be really dark and hard to see out of at night.
35 is the legal limit in most states for the front side windows. I have 20 on the Mustang all around, but 35 on the front of the truck so I can see my mirrors better at night in the rain.
