Default truck tool box, can't decide

i'm thinking about get a tool box for the back of my 07 quad cab hemi ram but can't decide if i should. I drive a service truck for work but i still think it would be nice to have a truck box sometimes. Looked at lowe's, they have a pretty nice kobalt one for about $270. Tractor supply also has quite a few. Any recommendations on which one to get if i do decide to purchase one, i would rather not order one but just get it from lowe's, home depot, tractor supply, etc

Not sure where you live, but I got mine at Murdoch's farm supply! It is a "Better Built" This is the second truck tool box I have had from Them and will never go with anything else! My co-worker bought the home depot husky tool box and it was a POS!!!

Now that I have a tool box, I don't know what I ever did without one! You won't regret it!

Make sure you use the Grip Rite mounting kit so you don't have to drill holes in you truck! That way you can take it out if you need your full bed!

I only bought 2, but if you want you could do 4 and put one on each corner!

If you do buy a tool box make sure the latches can be adjusted for a tight seal. Also put some soft rubber down between the box and the truck box, don't use the foam that it will come with.

do u guys use your tool boxes all the time. I don't need it for work because i have the service truck, but i figure it would be nice just for the extra storage instead of throwin crap in the back seat. Lowes does have the mounting kit/brackets for the tool boxes so i don't have to drill my bed, maybe i'll just go with the kobalt one it looked pretty nice

also, does tractor supply have quite a few tool boxes. I looked at lowes but they only have about 5 or 6 boxes to choose from

i got the black husky box that dodgenitto hates. maybe they changed the design, but i like mine. i admit it is definitely not heavy duty, but it handles everything i throw at it. even opens up automatically, has adjustable latches. if you get a new one, get a low profile. mine bugs me sometimes cuz i can't see the top of the gate in the mirror or when i turn around. and the ones that are polished might glare if the sun is at a bad angle.

Yeah, he bought it about 4 years ago, so I would assume they have changed it!

I'd be lost without my tool box. It's a Tractor Supply one. I have all kinds of tools, a gas welding setup, all my off-road & winch accessories, air compressor, jump starter, etc. in there. I bet I got over 350 lbs. of stuff neatly packed in that thing.
BTW - I've found that those square plastic milk boxes, the ones that are like 16" or so square are great in there. I've got them set up side by side so I can have everything organized and they are the perfect height so the sliding tray can still slide just above them.
