Gas Pedal stuck & Cruise control stopped working 07 hemi
 

Driving an 07' hemi QC out of state w/a mid-size enclosed trailer, the gas pedal stuck on wide open. Was lucky to not have an accident and turn the truck off. A day later the cruise control stopped working. A day after that the cruise control worked as it should.

It's been in the shop for a couple days now and they claim they have parts coming. Anyone have similar results or any tips?

My gas pedal actually stuck right to the floor mat. Scared the heck outta me. I hit it hard a couple of times with my foot and it popped right back up.Turns out the bottom edge of the pedal was getting stuck on an edge on the floor mat. So it literally did get stuck to the floor mat.

I was reaching for the key when it popped back up.

I had the same exact thing happen to me with the gas pedal gettin stuck under the floor mat.. Did you have the stock matts or aftermarket? It happened to me twice and then i cut the matt back the next day for obvious reasons! But gas is too much not to do tht anymore.. : (

Remember the 06, 07, and 08 have the drive by wire throttle.

Computer controlled throttle has it down sides.

I added aftermarket mats on top of the factory. That brings the level up just a bit too high because the aftermarket has a rubber pad for your heel. I pulled them out after that happened.

Yep, which is why after I read this I thought he definantly got the accelerator stuck on his mat or something. If the computer had messed up, the throttle would've been stuck wide open, but the pedal should've returned to it's normal position.

I believe the accelerator being stuck wide open and the cruise control not working was related. Just got the truck back from the shop. The Accelerator pedal assembly was replaced.


Hopefully this has just been a fluke event. In any case keep it in the back of your brains just in case.
