My Truck Was Almost Stolen!

Buy some chain link fence and keep it in the bed. Hook the body of the truck up to 100,000 volts worth of juice. When you park, make contact between the juice and the truck body. Unroll the fence, and set up a perimeter around the truck with plenty of warning signs. This way, your *** is covered from law suits because you warned people, and anyone who touches the truck will be electrocuted (hopefully to death). Best security system money can buy right there. It should come standard on ALL new vehicles.

Same thing happened to me! What alarm should I get?
I have had my 03 QC for less than 2 weeks. Got up to go to work and the lock and handle had been trashed by what looks like a screwdriver or something similar. Luckily I have keyless or I would not have been at work that day. I went to the dealer they want 50 for the lock, 50 to re-key, and 100 for labor. So I think that I will be doing this myself for a lot less. My question is what alarm to go with. I was thinking of getting the factory MOPAR alarm. Any suggestions? Also when they put their weight into the screwdriver they bent the door in just a little at the lower right corner. Is it WORTH trying to fix? I notice it, but I am not sure many others will.

If you want a pretty nice alarm system, I have myself a Crime Stoppers system in my truck. Nice, because it's one that can be used on two vehicles, and has remote start. The sensitivity needs to be adjusted, but when it goes off, it's LOUD! I don't know as far as cost, because it had it when I bought it, but I love this system.
If you're good at messing with keys, you could re-key it yourself. My step-dad always re-keyed everything himself, but the vehicles are the same as a house. Pull out the lock, and try to level off one side on the pins. Then you know the pins that you should place in the other side.
