She's like a brand new truck again!!
My girl got some well needed attention this week. I got the trans serviced, front brakes done and got my door lock fixed.I must say after the trans got serviced it seems to shift much smoother, before it would hesitate alittle to shift and was a bit rough.
AND...right after I picked the truck up from the shop i went and ordered myself a 57 series K&N CAI! Finally! But just a quick question about the CAI install, when i put it in do i have to reset the computer? like unplug the battery for alittle or is there an easier way to do it? I will post pics once the kit is installed. |
You can reset the computer by unplugging the negative? i am not sure but i never did that when i installed my aFe stage 2 intake. the computer relearned itself automatically after i installed the cold air intake.
Congrat and Modding World begin!!!! |
no need to unhook the battery, its not a big enough change for the computer to have to learn anything, its just less restrictive than stock.
The computer will read off the MAF sensor and compensate automatically |
UH, NO. The Dodge does not use a MAF. It should, but it doesn't have one.

I installed the K&N CAI on my 03 HEMI and it was a pretty easy install. Didn't reset the computer either. No problems adjusting.

yeah the hemi has a air intake temperature sensor only no maf

I always reset my computer no matter how big or small the mod. Always helps a little.
