2002 Ram 1500 Heater problem (4.7 liter)
I've read several blogs about this but can't seem to track down my issue.
Mechanic flushed the heater core about a year ago. Didn't help.
I parked the vehicle due to military duties for about 9 months.
One hose going into the firewall is hot the other is luke warm. That indicates a blocked heater core, correct? I flushed with water and air.
Same results hot hose and luke warm hose.
Broke down and took it to another mechanic. He said it could be the thermostat. He changed the thermostat and flushed the system.
It helped a little, empahsize little. One hose still hot and one still luke warm. How can there be a blockage when no indication of bloackage during a flush?
He says doors working fine on the heater system.
I also notice that the air does get warmer if I push the gas peddle down; I noticed this as I was idling.
I really could use some advice
Thank you.
