I/we appreciate the responses fellas. She was hit by an 03 Altima. Im not too sure how fast the lady was going, probably not too fast, as I suspect she was already stopped at the light and tried to gun it once it turned yellow (she was making a left turn, the wife was going straight). The wife was going 35-40mph upon impact. So, even though the other car wasnt flying, thats still plenty of momentum from both vehicles to do the damage done.

The 'rango is an '04, valued at around 9-10k, but we owe about 14-15k, thank goodness for "gap" insurance

As far as a lawsuit, I personally hate sue-happy people too. We're not to the type of folks looking for that easy dollar.......but...............

Her back is starting to "tighten up" on her, and shes been sore since the whole thing. I told her at the accident scene that she should take ride to the hospital just to get checked out. I dont care who's fault it was, we pay all that money for insurance, might as well use it!!!

That being said, if something more does come out of this, as far as her injuries, a dollar or two might be coming this way. Hopefully though, the soreness will wear off, and we'll just have to worry about fixing the truck, or replacing it, no other "lawsuit" involved......

I really dont like lawsuits that much. down here in southeast texas, people could sue if you just look at them funny (i might be exagerrating a bit but its pretty bad) i say just make sure that ladys insurance pays for everything from the damage repairs to a cup of coffee

Definitely have her go to the hospital. Get it on record just in case it gets worse. Even though getting stiff after an accident is common.

Nah, not both sides, just the driver. The passenger side, rear rim/tire got messed up when the car hit her and threw her into the curb.

This sucks, cause everywhere is closed today, so now my baby is driving my other baby, while I have to drive a work truck. Can't get a rental until her truck is in the bodyshop.
