Mudflaps or no?

Well if i had to choose again I wouldnt put them on. After one winter mine are busted up. screws pulled out and cracked... OEM mudflaps too. The snow build up just was too much for them here in the snowbelt, NEW YORK! I always made sure to clean the slush and packed snow off them but that only works for a few miles down the road. I think i might go with fender flares, not sure thought I dont want the salt and sand to speed up the rusting process.

I Drive down some pretty rough roads, so mudflaps keep the bottom of my truck looking nice. I would hate to spend all my hard earned money on a truck and have the bottom of the doors rotting out 2 years down the road
The mudflaps are getting thrown away once I get some fenderflares and the bottom half of the truck is getting bedlined
Im getting raped on taxes, so that is going to have to wait
