Poor Man's Exhaust

Well, I got sick of trying to decide whether or not I want to drop the dough on exhaust, or wait until I have a little $$ saved away unless something else breaks.
I was down at the local exhaust shop, and got to talking to the guy, and 10 minutes and $20 later I walked out with a bent piece of 3" pipe and 2 clamps.
I hacked off the old muffler, and put the pipe in, simple as that.
It is still too raspy for me, I am thinking about putting in a glasspack to get rid of some of the raspyness. Will that do the trick?

Heres the links to the videos on youtube taken on my cell phone:

Let me know what you think...
Any other tricks to get rid of the snappy/raspyness?

yea, i think it's too raspy. go buy a magnaflow muffler and stick it in there in place of the straight pipe. you don't even need a shop to do it.

+1...you can get an aluminized 14" magnaflow muffler for pretty cheap...especially if you find a used one. I want to say I paid $80 for mine but I don't remember...it was under $100 though.

I like it, sounds mean. But if it bothers you then you should throw a muffler on there. A nice magnaflow would sound good or maybe an at3030, but this kind of defeats the purpose of a "poor man's exhaust".

I agree... buying an $80 dollar muffler does defeat the purpose. That is why I was thinking of putting a $25 dollar cherrybomb glasspack in there. I dont want to spend a bunch of money on it since i hope to eventually put duals on.

and thanks for the comments...
