Hi! I'm new, I have some questions.

Hi! I'm new. My name is Toni and I'm from Spain in Europe.

I have some questions about one 2005 Ram 1500.

Probably I buy a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and I want to make some changes on it.

First 6 inch lift kit and 20 inch wheels with 35 or 38 tires M/T...

What do you think about? I want to see pics of Rams on 20/35 or 38 and 6 inch lift kit. Anybody can show me?

Sorry for my bad english...

Thanks for everybody!

Welcome to the forum :)

I hear that 38's are hard on the IFS. 35's will be better.

IFS= Independent Front Suspension.

Hi.

A body lift is the same of a 6 inch lift kit? Are diferent things? Complementary?

In google:

Body lift:

6 inches lift kit:

If I want to put in my Ram a 6 inch lift kit is necesary to put a body lift kit too? Or only with de lift kit is done? And to put 37 inch tires?

Sorry about this but I'm newbbie...

Hi.

This truck have a 6 inches lift kit and 35x12,5 tires on 20 inches rims... Is a good combination? Looks great...

Maybe 37 inch tires are so much...

What do you think?

Thanks!!!

I would say from what has been pounded into my brain by these guys on here, 37's are a bad idea unless you can change your own cv shaft. A 6 inch or 4 inch suspension lift with 35 inch tires would be ideal. For a description of body lifts compared to suspension lifts look in the offroading section. I know there has been write ups on those.

Body lifts are good because they are cheap and you can fit 35" tires with them but they will not be a 6" lift, more like 3"
If you want to go offroad, then get a suspension lift. I would try to stay with 35" but some people here have 36-37" tires and they like them.

why not do a 3 inch body lift, and 3 inch suspension lift?

I have been to Spain a few times and never even saw a full sized pickup there. A lifted ram would be amazing over there.

you could easily run over all those tiny European cars there. parking would be a nightmare though
