Default Why can't I flush the differential with varsol?

Hehe, another post about differentials...what could possibly be my problem?

The dodge manual says not to use Gas, Kerosene, or Steam to clear out the diff. My plan is to use one of those compressed air parts cleaners (a blow gun that shoots varsol) to clean the tubes out and then spray it with 75w140 again with the same gadget.

Will I be okay if I'm careful and don't leave any solvent in the diff? Is there more to it I don't understand?

Thanks, Steve

with these short change intervals, if the gear oil came out fine i wouldn't waste the time to clean out every last drop. now if the oil looked bad and there were chunks or metal in the oil then i would definitely try to clean it 100%..

Im guessing maybe the harsh solvents could effect the LSD clutch packs in a negative way.

Im have been cleaning diffs out with gas and siphon air gun for awhile now
