I'm hating my mds these days....

I have had my truck now since november 2005....and 123,000 miles...and officially i am sick of my MDS...with my longtube headers and MDS combo...i've narrowed something down to MDS being the culprit....anytime Im on the HWY and my MDS kicks in for awhile...it cools the engine down but not the headers...so with the temperature difference it loosens the header bolts....so for the last couple days i've been hearing a tick.....today it was really bad....so i got off my lazy butt...and looked under....hell one of the bolts had to be atleast an inch out...almost falling out.....grrrrrrr...time for a diablo for the MDS delete.

Probably the best choice of tuner that you could make. I know if it controlled my trans I would get one too. Now you will be able to turn off MDS and get a nice boost in power.

All those mods and you just now want a tuner?? Eh..better late than never :)

i've been running around with a bullydog programmer....all these miles....just want the mds gone...

How is the BD, any good? Don't really hear about them much in the gasser sections.

Romeosoldier03 Apr 23, 2009 08:52 PM

i thought it was good....but just not enuff adjustability......

Wait until you try the diablo. It's going to blow you away compared to a bulldog. Let me know if you need any help configuring the shifts.

Did you install the headers properly. Hand tighten when cool, then get it as hot as you can, then re-torque while hot?
That usually keeps 'em tight, not forever, but at least good between oil changes.

And yeah, the Diablo is a good choice for you. Poor choice for an 05< but a solid choice for an 06+...

Tuner preference sways on this site like no other..

I just bought the mopar gaskets from airram.com....guess we'll try this all over again...lol.
