Little Too High RPM's
 
Hey guys thought i would ask here first before i went into the dealership.

i have a '08 Ram 1500 4.7 auto reg cab 2 wheel driive. 22000 on the tranny.

when im cruising at any speed below 70km/h, my rpms are in the 5 to 6000

i was going 50 today and i was at 6200 rpm!!!
any help would be great

Sounds like ya got yourself a half-assed tranny. Can you feel it slipping or it just wont shift out of 1st?

i would say it isnt shifting outta first. stupid thing is it wont do it constantly.

Have you checked the tranny fluid level?

Put the shifter in D, not 1 :)

funny lol
i took it in yesterday to the dealership to try and figure out my situation.
they scanned it and took it for a test drive and........
(drum roll)
im full of **** and nothing is wrong with my truck.
so any has anybody heard of this before or had the same thing.
im gunna take it to a new dealership and see but i here Ford has a real good sale on lol
