Default Getting Rid of Seat Belt Beep?

Ok So I dod not drive around at all with out my seat belt except when I am way up in the back roads hunting and scouting for elk. Typical road speeds are below 20 mph and I can usually gor 60 miles with out seeing another vehicle. Is there away to bypass the seatbelt ding without just leaving latched behind me?

Thnaks for info.

I think you answered your own question, just leave it latched behind you

yes, check your owners manual for specific instructions.
it involves cycling the ignition off and on and unlatching and re-latching the seat belt a few times.
I dont remember specifics so check your owners book for details but i did the same thing in my truck. It took a few tries but I did get it. Try looking for seatbet in the index

Thanks a bunch... It is just darn annoying when it does it all day long.

I made a little seat belt buckle out of sheet metal and plugged that in there and it worked.

sometimes there is a wire below the seat you can just cut and/or there is a fuse you can pull out, that's what one of my buddies does to every car he has owned. Luckly mine doesn't beep. I hate the beep

Or maybe just wear it for safety. Its a law in CT so I wear mine all the time. Personally I don't feel safe without it.

Or you could actually read the post and realize what I am talking about. I am talking at low speeds, usually 10 mph or less up to maybe 30 mph. 2 track country roads while hunting. If you go over 30 mph it beats the heck out of you. etc. All that said there is little to no real safety issue at all.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking about the fuse as well, just want to make sure I know what else might be effected.

Or just get you one of those wire tap things (cant remember the name) and use it to tap the two wires together on the seat belt to make it think it is latched. Thats what I did on mine and never had a problem since.
