Default My truck's 2009 Transformation

Earlier this year I had my truck for sale and was on the verge of having it sold when I backed out and decided it was paid off so why sell it and get into another payment. I'm mechanically inclined so if and when drivetrain components go I'll replace them and put them on credit cards and still not owe nearly as much as a new truck. So I started to get some ideas on how to make me happy with the truck again. Here is where the truck was at when I was selling it. Only thing done was a muffler replacement and tinted lights I did myself, and I through some side stripes on.

At this time I asked for a photoshop to be done on some ideas I had and this is what they came up with.

So after this I talked to my father-in-law who has painted cars in a previous life about 20 years ago and he said he could do the black on the bottom, and the blue grill, etc. So after getting some rims and tires we went to work. I got it back this weekend and love how it turned out. He also painted the calipers atlantic blue. These pictures also show how well the Hellwig LP-25 kit I bought works. This truck used to sit with it's nose in the air before the springs and now it barely moves.

So I still have more plans in the future but I'm very happy for now. It is getting the exhaust tips done within the next month though and 33" A/T tires before winter, but other than that, it's done for a while.

Can you get a pic of it in the sun? It looks great but the pics dont really show the paint off that much.

Yeah, it'll have to wait until the skies clear up though, supposed to be rainy all week. I'll be cleaning up the truck this weekend though and I'll get some more pics.

That's cool, the new look should make you feel like it's a new truck

When looking at it...yeah.

When driving it...no.

It needs some help in that department but that is next...I have quite a few issues that need to be addressed. To bad I don't have a mechanic in the family too.

I was considering it but I kind of like how it ties more black in. I'm contemplating doing a black gas cover too, but I think I'll just leave it for now.
