I'll check with the inspection folks to see what will work. I have a dark strip across the front windshield that's legally is a little low. I've been hit on it in the past, but I don't want have to keep redoing tint. Sure does look good though.

The shackles that came with the kit should have two adjustment holes, one for a 4" drop and the other for a 4-1/2" drop. Use the upper hole for a lower position (4-1/2"). I am using the MG spindle kit and the holes for the 4" drop and the truck sits level. So each truck is different. If you are already in the upper hole which drops you the most, try a shorter shackle, maybe your original shackle will get down where you want to be. How much axle travel do you now have?

Man, that doesn't sound right. Do you have the shackle mounted in the right direction? Can you post a picture of the shackle/spring? I'll see if I can find a picture of mine.

if you use that upper hole it will lower it that lil bit...id throw some white litium grease on it to quiet the squeek and let it wear it in a lil....

Sorry, all I have is one picture of the shorty shackle. It really sounds to me like you might have the shackle on backwards.

That's the correct direction. But your shackle looks different from what I have. My upper hole is a little higher. I think I would use a grinder on the shackle to get some clearence with the spring. It is obviously very close to fitting correctly already and would only need a little grinding to get to clear properly.
