i would recommend doing the drop first then the custom exhaust can be made to clear everything.

You are going to really like it......
OBTW, a pair of CalTracs will eliminate axle hop. And a sway bar will really nail the a$$ end down.

Default 2/2 drop questions

If you look at your front bump stops, you will notice there is little clearance even when stock. So using drop springs will put you on the stops and require there removal. This is not a big deal, but is an indication how things are being changed. The rear is easy using a flip kit. Good luck
Thanks RedTruck this was some good info. I am looking to do a 2/2 drop. Unusual I know, but I like the rake of the truck as it sits, just want it a little lower for looks and aerodynamics. I also plan on towing vehicles in the future, so I figure I'll need the extra )factory) rear height anyway.
From what I have read here and over at DT, it seems cutting the front coils is okay from a safety and driving standpoint (On VWs we worried about the springs coming out of the perches), but they make getting alignment (at least the initial one) done harder. Seems it would require cutting the caster slots some, and maybe some alternate bump stops. How hard is the alignment? I am guessing this depends upon the shop. Lowering springs as I read, are not much better in the alignment department. My concern with cutting springs is how the truck would ride/handle with less spring. I understand lowering springs are stiffer, and that should be okay since they are on the heavy end of the truck. The light end tends to determine ride quality, if I remember correctly. Drop spindles look a little harder to install, but keep the factory suspension geometry (or really close). Does anyone know if aftermarket drop spindles about the same weight as the factory ones? I ask because I want to keep my truck's front end weight down if I can. For the rear, it looks like I'll just need a set of shackles.

You have a quad and your worried about wieght? Now that's funny. The drop spindles are made of cast steel and are heavier than the OEM spindle. Maybe thirty pounds each. I didn't wiegh them and am only quessing. Good luck...

More lowered trucks, great....
