HHMMMMM what should i Do...
so heres the deal.. i went to the dealer today and i was looking at the new rams... and i came across a used one with only 19k on it fully loaded with navi and heated seats and every option that is imaginable lol and i was talking with the sales manager and i currently owe 17,800 on my truck and he was going to give me 18,000 for my truck which is a 08 ram 1500 hemi with intake and exhaust and led lights on the interior and subs and hids... and gauges.. it has 63,0000 miles on it now and i put about 1000 a week on it!!! and i would get the 09 for the same payments i am paying now... which is 615 a month for 48 months i believe. what should i do.. im losttttttt

I'm no good at this but the amount of time you have to pay off your current truck looks to be about 30 months. So you are talking about 18 more months to step up to the new truck. If you are good with the monthly tab, I say go for it. I'd tell the dealer to wiggle the numbers to stay with a 48 month schedule but you need the payment to be no more than $600. But that is just me... Good luck.

really just dumb luck I was just in a cu for that very reason refi on 17k I got a 8.9 rate with a 710 credit score. How do you do bussiness in a market where the banks won't give you a break on a used car/truck?!? Gotta get it paid off earlier by payiong 70 mor a month and also knock off 24 months too boot. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

i was thinking of doing the same thing, but then i said screw it, i love my current truck too much. though the new rams are nice, put some cash away, you'll feel better about it in the end. plus, $600 for a truck is an awful lot of money, that's a mortgage. that's just my opinion, whatta i know!?

Well you already know the answer, it is your decision and no one knows what situation you are in. I don't drive my 03 very much and it has about the same mileage as your ride and I haven't had any payments for a very long time. But when my friends started buying new I felt like I also needed something different. This has happened a couple of times and I always ended up with just doing a upgrade and left it at that. This year I'm going to make it faster.... at least thats the plan. Good luck.
