Shocks?
 

I've noticed since I bought my truck 07 5.7 1500 QC that when I hit pot holes in the road or even railroad tracks that the truck bounces around alot (like I have a hard time staying in my lane). And I'm not hitting them to fast or anything it's just really squirrely. So I was wondering do you guys think this could be because of bad shocks? if so what are some good brands? and if not what other things do y'all think it could be?. Thanks.

my truck does the same thing. I cant imagine an 07 would have worn shocks already but you might just have a bad one. Its most likely a shock problem but could potentially be a steering rack or tie rod.

Really a three year old truck has how many miles on it?? Those stock ones blow the rears are easy the struts in the front are pita i'm getting mine done next year the struts are 110 a piece. Thats aalota meataballs..

I just installed Bilstein 5100's and didnt see much difference. I also installed a new steering stabalizer shock and i saw the biggist improvement with that. It still rides rough but no more of the steering wheel jumping around when i hit them bumps.

Had a 2000 Silverado 2500 and had Bilstein shocks. Bought my Ram with 21k miles and thought it was awfully "floaty" and lose feeling in comparison.

I have a 08 3/4 tom with the bilstein 5100's with 20" rims with 33" tires and ya dont leave your drink in the cup holder! I was hoping the new shocks would smooth the ride but nope. Guess thats the price ya pay to have good looking wheels.

It's got 34k on it right now. Yeah I've got 20" wheels too not sure what my tires are tho. So no one has really noticed a difference by changing out their shocks?.

The wife says she can tell but i cant. Like i said before did see a differance in changing stering stabalizer shock. Lost all wheel movment when i hit bumps.

But you got a 2500, where as OP has a 1500. Steering stabilizer won't work either.

I've got an '08 and my truck is a bit floaty. Chrysler was prob. trying to lure in people who want a mushy ride. many guys who put on either Bilstein or Rancho's have noticed drastic improvements. i can't wait to get new shocks installed. I'll hit a bridge crevice on the highway with my truck and it will wiggle the back of my truck left to right. i hate that.
i plan on going with the Rancho Quicklift..They level the front up 2" and are a shock all in one. You can pick them up for around $360 for the pair, but you'll need an alignement after.
Bilstein alaso makes a lift strut for $230 for both sides. Bilstein is a little stiffer ride than Rancho, but i doubt either one will float the same as stock. I've only heard good things about going aftermarket.
if you don't want a level then just the shocks themselves are fairly cheap for under $200
