From stock 20's to 17's 02 Ram 1500 QC
I'm getting rid of my stock 20's on my '02 Ram 1500 4x4 QC. I want to go to a 17" wheel. I'm looking at Goodyear Dura Trac in a 285/70 R17. That will put me at about 33". I'm getting a front level kit & new shocks this weekend. I'm just not sure of wheels & my offset. I've been told I can go to a 35", but I'm not wanting to go that big, hence the size I've picked out above. I'm looking at the AR ATX series wheels, but not sure if I can get away with having a -12mm offset like in the Artillery model. I'm trying not to need to put any Bushwackers on if possible. Can I do that, or do I need to stay at a 0 offset, or if I get a 0 offset, will I still have clearance on turns? This truck is going to be my icefishing truck I drive on the lakes in MN when I'm up there. I only put about 3k a year on it now, but I don't want to dump a ton of $ into it as it's not my primary ride. I've got some beer dents & scrarches on the old 20's, & it's cheaper for me to get new 17's & tires run about a hundo cheaper per tire for downsizing. Anyone happen to know what the factory wheel offset is on the 20's? Any help? Thanks!
