Well I'm pissed

Well I bought these spyder projection halos privately for 160 and not gonna lie they look nice. Anyways I installed them and finaly got them to my mechanic for him to adjust them cuz they're shiningbdown but he didn't cuz be said there's no point. They're melting the plastic and in about 3 hours you'll have a whole, they don't meet the trucks standards. So basically I got jipped off and down 160 bucks.

nim81 Apr 5, 2010 02:11 PM

do they have the wrong bulbs in them? that doesnt sound right

Trendy Rendy Apr 5, 2010 02:28 PM

I dunno right now it's crap I can see where the plastic is melting and all...i'll just switch el up with the factory ones and sell these at a pawn shop. Anyone know good headlights that aren't too expensive and worth the money?

You got a pic of the melted light?

bamataco Apr 5, 2010 05:54 PM

Why don't you contact the manufactorers of the light and see what they have to say about the situation. I know your not the original purchaser but it couldn't hurt.

JoeHemi Apr 5, 2010 10:01 PM

well if you or the guy before you was running HIDs then yea you can melt the housing if the lights are left on for too long. If thats the case, most ebay projectors come with a little sticker stating that the lights are not approved for use with HIDs and then you're stuck with a melted housing that no one will replace.

Trendy Rendy Apr 6, 2010 12:31 AM

yeah well I guess I can contact the manufacturer

They are the eBay ones and have a sticker saying it cannot have HIDs
I'm gonna see if I can get a reasonable price from a pawn shop or something. Even if they don't pay me 160 and pay me lower it's better than nothin

weedahoe Apr 6, 2010 07:49 AM

So Im confused. Are you running HIDs in them or normal halogen bulbs?

hondarider525 Apr 6, 2010 08:50 AM

ya, i was going to say, just put some regular bulbs in there...
