Default head lights turn on and off by them self

i am trying to figure out what the wires are on the 2003 ram 1500 for the headlight switch/dashboard dimmer im putting a flip switch in cause i dont wanna deal with the iffy dodge switch!!!

Maverick, it ain't that simple. You really don't want to hack into your wiring without a understanding what is going on.
Here is a link that I just posted for running both HI and Lo’s at the same time. It might give you an idea of the complexity of the system.

the diffrence between what im doing and what that thread is doing is im replacing my switch to make it simpler. im not trying to run 4 lights at the same time...im just trying to figure out what wires go where

If you don't have a Manual, do a search for the links to download one. And you will have the diagrams which shows what you want.

i need to find a wrecked truck and steal the switch and wire connector from it..(2003)

The switch is pretty cheap from hensons.

no, i also need the connector that plugs into the switch... i dunno what happened but it got fcked up
